A two-day Children's Ministry Training was successfully held in Ndilande, Blantyre, Malawi, bringing together 16 children's ministry leaders, Sunday School teachers, and youth workers from local churches. The training focused on strengthening children's ministry by equipping participants with biblical foundations, practical teaching skills, and effective strategies for discipling children in their communities.
Training Focus
Throughout the two days, participants took part in interactive teaching sessions, group discussions, practical demonstrations, and collaborative learning. Key areas of training included:
- The biblical foundation of children's ministry
- Understanding child development and age-appropriate ministry
- Organizing children into effective age groups
- Lesson preparation and planning
- Creative Bible storytelling techniques
- Making Scripture relevant to children's everyday lives
- Teaching memory verses through worship, games, and object lessons
- Monitoring, reporting, and evaluating children's ministry
- Developing practical action plans for local church ministry
The hands-on approach encouraged participants to share experiences, learn from one another, and practice teaching methods they can immediately implement in their churches.

Develop and distribute affordable, high-quality children's ministry resources. Strengthen partnerships with churches and ministry organizations to expand training opportunities throughout Malawi.
The enthusiastic participation and commitment shown by all 16 attendees demonstrated a shared passion for reaching the next generation with the Gospel. This training has laid a strong foundation for stronger, more effective children's ministries in Malawi. Through continued mentoring, collaboration, and quality resources, we believe even more children will come to know Christ, grow in their faith, and become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.
