Alkebu Leadership (AL) is a Christian-based organization headquartered in Kenya. The name Alkebu originates from Alkebu-lan, the ancient name for Africa, meaning “Mother of Mankind” or “Garden of Eden”—the oldest and only indigenous name for the continent.

Celebrating graduation from adult literacy program is quite different from usual graduations in formal institutions. For adult literacy, the graduates are men and women who have defied age, community ridicule and embarrassment to attain such progress.
We are filled with gratitude as we report the successful completion of our 3-day Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) program, themed “Spiritual Gardening.” The program, which ran from Monday, April 14th to Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, brought together 347 children and 30 passionate teachers and volunteers for a time of learning, growth, and spiritual nourishment.
On Saturday, March 29th, a Sunday school workers' training was held at Church of the Living God International, with 35 dedicated participants in attendance. The training aimed to equip Sunday school teachers with essential skills and knowledge for effective children’s ministry.
The Mathare Children Workers Workshop was a long-awaited and much-needed training that finally came to fruition on the 5th and 12th of April 2025. For many participants, this was an opportunity they had been praying and hoping for, as they have desired equipping and support in their work with children.
The Pastoral Training seminar was truly impactful, filled with powerful revelations that stirred hearts and deepened understanding.
