On Saturday, March 29th, a Sunday school workers' training was held at Church of the Living God International, with 35 dedicated participants in attendance. The training aimed to equip Sunday school teachers with essential skills and knowledge for effective children’s ministry.
The session covered key aspects of children’s ministry, emphasizing the importance of nurturing children spiritually and the vital role teachers play in shaping young lives. The training also delved into understanding who a child is, exploring child psychology to enhance teaching approaches.
Some participants from Umoja expressed a desire to understand how to plan a successful Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS). The training included practical steps on organizing and executing a DVBS program, focusing on themes, activities, and crafts.
The training addressed a crucial gap in equipping Sunday school workers, fostering a greater sense of purpose and responsibility among participants. The positive feedback indicates a strong impact on the attendees' approach to teaching.
The Sunday school workers' training was a significant step toward enhancing the quality of children's ministry. Participants left feeling empowered and better equipped to guide young minds in faith and personal growth.
I truly appreciate this training. It’s so important in building a strong foundation for our children in the faith.
This session gave me fresh insights into understanding and engaging with children more effectively.
The DVBS planning session was incredibly helpful. I now feel much more confident in organizing similar programs within our church.
