November DVBS Report

Jesus Our Forever King

This year’s Daily Vacation Bible School ran from Monday 24th to Saturday 29th November 2025 under the theme “Jesus Our Forever King.” The week was filled with excitement, spiritual growth, creativity, and a steady increase in attendance. We began with 330 children on Monday, and by the final day, we had over 450 children and volunteers participating in the camp. The program was hosted at our church, Life Transformation Centre Headquarters, and each day started with morning devotions, prayer, worship, Scripture sharing, and uplifting songs that helped the children draw closer and understand God.

From Monday to Friday, we focused on a different king in the Bible, and children enjoyed meaningful engagement through lessons, crafts, outdoor games, dance sessions, movie time, Q&A discussions, and moments of social interaction.

On Monday, we learned about King Saul, introducing the journey of kingship and lessons on leadership and obedience. Tuesday focused on King David and his heart for God, with more children joining after hearing from their friends. Wednesday’s lesson on King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba opened discussions on wisdom and seeking God’s guidance. Thursday highlighted King Josiah and his commitment to returning to God’s Word even at a young age. Friday was the climax as we taught about King Jesus, our Perfect and Forever King, and the children connected deeply with the message of His unmatched love and reign. Saturday was the celebration day, where the children showcased everything, they learned through talent presentations, memory verse recitations, crown displays, creative crafts, dances, and skits summarizing the stories of the kings.

A significant factor that contributed to the daily increase in attendance was the children’s craft time. Every day, each child carried home a craft related to the lesson, especially the beautifully decorated crowns during the kings’ lessons. These crafts caught the attention of children in the community who were not attending the DVBS, and many decided to join after seeing what their friends brought home. The crowns became one of the most exciting features of the week, sparking curiosity and joy.

We were greatly supported by teachers from Mt. Moriah International School, Sunday School teachers from surrounding churches, a vibrant team of volunteers from RGC Pipeline, and our own church departmental leaders who ensured that the sessions ran smoothly and safely. The medical team from St Johns, led by Teacher Esther, provided professional care throughout the week, responding to every medical need and ensuring the wellbeing of all children. Although the workload was overwhelming at times, the dedication of the team, the unity among workers, and the encouragement from our spiritual parents helped keep everyone strengthened. Their presence during the closing ceremony was a great blessing and a source of inspiration.

We were honoured by the presence of our Apostolic Bishop and Reverend during the closing ceremony. They celebrated the great work that God is doing in the Children’s Ministry and expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who served. We are especially grateful for their sacrifice in providing breakfast and lunch for all six days for the children, teachers, and volunteers, which played a major role in the success of the program. We also thank the school administration for the use of their facilities, teachers, and resources, and we appreciate every church department, Media, Security, Hospitality, Ushering, and Administration, for their essential contributions. This DVBS was truly a week of spiritual impact, and we thank God for the opportunity to serve and to plant seeds of hope and faith in the lives of children and teens in our community.

I’ve never attended a camp with so many children. I’ve made new friends

This camp was exciting, and the learners were very receptive. I believe what they learned will shape their salvation journey
